Age of Wonders: Planetfall

In the sci-fi and fantasy games, lizards always receive a bum criticism. Always they are bloodthirsty, angry, conniving arseholes, and all these indicate that all the writers have a really bad experience with these scary little creatures. However, Age of Wonders: Planetfall is not going to buck this trend. In an announcement of the Invasion expansion, it is hinted that the game is introducing a new faction, which will have unpleasant shakarn and lizardmen.

The other factions of the “Age of Wonders: Planetfall” are receiving the bearings on the new world. There will be a new galaxy, where the shakarn are firmly established conquerors, and they will be ready to ruin the happy life of the people. These shakarn will try to take control of all the things that they will get by destroying the other factions, and surely, they will do it ruthlessly. You will also see them joining in the new expansion like NPC aliens as well as the therians, who will integrate their DNA with the animals to lead a new generation.

New features and fighting

Along with more aliens to fight, the Invasions throw a couple of new campaign maps. Also, there will be a new mode, which the tasks players can join their forces so that they can destroy other players who are dominating the world. There will be other campaigns and modes, and all of them will be affected by these new features, such as mega-storm, pirate invasions, solar flares, and in the late game, they will also experience the threat of transdimensional army who will be recognized as voidbringers.

In the Age of Wonders: Planetfall review, Ian Boudreau regarded it as one of the most entertaining and interesting games. He said that he had played a few campaigns, but was interested play it. The tactical combat of this game is great, indeed.
