Amazon Prime Video is finally available through a dedicated app on the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 devices. With the Windows app, customers can stream Prime Video content online or download Prime Video content for offline viewing on their device.
This feature only works through the app on the Windows 10 operating system and includes desktop PCs, laptops, and tablets.
While you can easily stream Prime Video content through a web browser, you cannot download videos on a Windows device to view offline as of now.
The three months of Amazon Prime membership costs Rs 329 while a year-long membership is priced at Rs 999 in India. You can also start your 30 days trial for free.
The company says that the Amazon Prime Video Windows app can stream videos and download at up to 1080p HD, but a test run by The Verge showed that the app was not able to stream higher than 720p resolution across a number of titles even though they are listed as “4K UHD” on Windows 10. The test further suggested that you can download videos in three qualities – Good, Better, and Best.
Amazon Prime Video had recently brought a new Watch Party feature in the United States, which lets users watch TV shows and movies with up to 100 people in one group.
