Today’s crypto market saw losses as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies plummeted. However, in the meme currency space, Dogecoin’s (DOGE) trading volume was much lower, while others were marginally lower.
HAY was the most popular cryptocurrency for the seventh day in a row. According to Coinmarketcap.com statistics at 8.50 a.m., the crypto market cap was down 0.29 percent to $853.96 billion, while trading volume was down 9.12 percent to $35.73 billion.
ApeCoin (APE) was the highest gainer today, up 4.77 percent to $4.16. Kava (KAVA) was the biggest loser, trading at $0.8666 after losing 5.75 percent in the previous 24 hours to Wednesday morning.
Prices of Cryptocurrencies
Bitcoin: BTC declined 0.9% to $17,033.09. BTC was volatile on December 6; however, it was trading in the $16,900 to $17,100 area. Around 4.50 a.m. on December 7, BTC unexpectedly acquired upward speed, lifting its price from around $16,900 to $17,000 and higher. The lowest BTC price was $16,939.92. BTC’s trading volume was down 7.69% to $19,531,187,225.
Ethereum: The price of Ethereum declined 0.36 percent in the previous 24 hours to $1,264.86 on Wednesday morning. ETH, like BTC, was erratic on December 6; however, the final deal was directionless since ETH finished up at the same price point as the December 5 close. The trading volume of ETH was much lower, while the price was just marginally lower.
