Axie Infinity: Origins card game is launched on the Apple app store. This is a strategy-based game that provides players with NFT starter characters. The game is launched in the regions where it is most famous which include Latin America and some Asian countries like Indonesia, Colombia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The game has registered 1.5 million downloads combining all platforms. The company is trying hard to expand its global presence through Google and Apple.
The creator of this game is a person named Sky Mavis. This game was made popular during the pandemic period. The game will enable users to fight with one another and also exchange NFTs in return for some rewards. Mavis said that they had been with Apple since the previous year to bring the game to the app store. Apple has always been sceptic when it comes to applications that allow users to trade Non-Fungible Tokens.
The executives at Mavis have a positive outlook that Apple will bring in a liberalised policy that will favour the NFT and Web 3 companies. Previously, Apple had a strict policy on the app store regarding the trading of NFTs. Apple controlled where and how the NFTs could be purchased through its devices. If they were not satisfied with it, they demanded a 30% cut of in-app purchases.

Curated NFT Marketplace Coming Up
Mavis also said that they are coming up with a curated NFT marketplace known as Mavis Market which will be fueled by the company’s own blockchain network, Ronin Blockchain. Furthermore, the company also has plans to launch a merchandise store. Axie Infinity suffered a hack of $625 million last year and since then they have worked hard to make their network more secure.
