BlizzCon 2020 arranged by Blizzard

Blizzard is planning to organize the annual convention of its fans in the Anaheim in November 2020. Unfortunately, today, Blizzard has alerted that there is a chance that it can cancel the event because of coronavirus pandemic. Governments across the world are ordering lockdown in every nation to prevent gathering so that the transmission of this virus can be prevented.

The executive producer of BlizzCon, Saralyn Smith, wrote that they were hopeful that everything would go back to the normal situation later this year. At the current situation, he thinks that the announcement is too early as no one knows either it will be possible or not. The health condition of their employees, community, and others who will assist in arranging the program is their top priority. It can take some months to finalize the decision if they can proceed to arrange the event. Saralyn Smith concluded by saying that they can soon have a meaningful update, and they can share that.

Blizzard has skilled two years only since its first BlizzCon was arranged dring 2005. Blizzard arranges the show to declare its upcoming games such as Diablo, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. It is an important show for gamers. If the event of this year is cancelled, it won’t be surprising. The gaming companies across the world have been responding by their events since the coronavirus outbreak across all Europe and North America.

In the meantime, the E3 and the Game Developers Conference have been cancelled already, along with some esports tournaments. Currently, it is confirmed that there are 1.5 million COVID-19 cases around the world. But the cancellation of the BlizzCon 2020 event has not been cleared yet. Blizzard is brilliantly preparing itself to face the worst situation. Saralyn Smith said that the company was searching for some other alternatives as well, and they mentioned that before the events they had been working actively to materialize their plans.
